South of France

Went to south of France for a week.
Interesting to see how there's no street art whatsoever (except for space invader of course) but there is graffiti absolutely everywhere.
I liked to see how they climb up on the mountains along the highways to paint the cliff walls...

Huge ad campaign by Monorex

Last night I was walking past Village Underground gallery and I saw Converse's new ad campaign.
They have gone over artists such as Herakut, Eine and Faith47 with their paste-ups and massive paintings of dudes wearing converse shoes.
But the pieces which were gone over were so beautiful they were hurting my eyes anyway.
I doubt I will ever buy another pair of converse shoes again however.

word to mother + brick lane

After Moniker on Sunday I braved the Brick Lane-masses to go see Word To Mother at the StolenSpace Gallery and a couple new (to me) walls.

Moniker Art Fair

On Sunday I went to Moniker Art Fair at the Village Underground and I was greeted by this beautiful cowgirl by Herakut and a dancing stik man.

Herakut had also prepared a nice little booth with more beautiful paintings and one of their girls cast in metal.

.......

I was very happy to, for the first time, get to see their stuff for real and not just on pictures.

And, yup, still the ones that I like the most...


Eine was there, doing some stencilling...

They also screened Bomb it 2 for us - very good film.
Got me inspired to go home and paint!

Another weekend

Today I'm off to Moniker Art Fair.
Just a shame that they changed the schedule and had Herakut painting yesterday instead of today...
