Walk out East

Such a beautiful day, I took advantage by walking the City.

Starting at Oxford Street to see if David Choe's work for Lazarides was still up - it wasn't...
But Mode2's wall was still there, although shamefully half covered by scaffolding:

Took the wrong bus and ended up in Angel before i made my way to Old Street to see Roa's exhibition at the Pure Evil Gallery.

On my way there I happened to catch him in the act on a roof top!
Highlight of the day.

I will post the rest of the street art pieces I found out East tomorrow.
Some nice new ones, and old ones.

I also went to Brick Lane to see if my Bleeding Hearts were still intact - in one place they were still up, the other one had been stolen!

And how is such a great day topped off?
With beers of course.... with friend in Victoria Park.

Central Saint Giles

Nice to see they're finally building a city building with some colour rather than the original grey.

Get me out there Yvan

One day you sit there hating London.
- This messy/ corrupt/ in all ways dirty/ mean/ cctv/ expensive/ tourist ridden place....

The next day you wake up loving it.
- It accepts you/ it's dirty, raw and real/ rebellions/ warm people/ underground living......

I look throughthe London posts on Yvan Rodic's Visual Diary and my heart warms up a little bit more.

Today I'm getting a job (well, let's hope).
I want to start making money again.
I want to be able to go to the hairdresser / I want to get more tattoos / and I want to go on a trip.

Fever Ray

How lovely it is to be able to check the mail outside in the sunshine with coffee, carrot juice and cigarettes!
The sun shines straight in through the studio windows and onto my back.....

If you're heading into the city lights tonight, there's a great party at the Question Mark Bar with this year's first BBQ!

I discovered a good band yesterday while browsing Sven Lito's website - Fever Ray.
You should discover these Swedes too!
The singer, Karin, is also in the band The Knife, if you remember them?

And another good one I found on Sven's other site...

Bleeding hearts mission

A friend of mine came down to London for a night yesterday.
The day started all innocent; having lunch in the sun on the Southbank.

Then we headed to Brick Lane to go naughty on the beer.
Packed with people, all with the same idea - beer in sunshine!
Met a couple nice guys from South America who were very keen on helping me paste some Bleeding Hearts around.

I had so much fun last night I didn't even care when I spilled ketchup+mustard all over my McQueen!

The best thing about doing this kind of stuff in Brick Lane is that no one bothers you and chases you away. All I got was blokes shouting 'higher, higher!'....

Studio 4.06.10

This vid is one of the most amazing things Ive watched in a while!
The art is not spectacular but how the guys put this together is beyond me....

Been trying to get this France trip together today but had to back down in the end. Sucks. I also need to find a job. Sucks even more.
I keep turning all these offers down. I just wanna work wednesdays, thursdays and fridays. Theres like no such thing. Cruel world.

Put something together in the studio last night. Going out tonight to post the last of it.

Spring in Westbourne

After this weekends partys, and after the naughty burglar last night, I took a well-needed walk through the West today.
The sunshine certainly makes Notting Hill look more beautiful, and the beer taste nicer!

Skate park under the Westway is full of kids....
If I ever have a kid one day (god forbid!) he is gonna look as cool as these little dudes.

Tiny bit of street art on Portobello.
Unfortunately not much new pops up around here these days... Not like in the East.
Of course there's the muTate, but we've all seen that.

High blood pressure Sunday

No pictures from Friday night I'm afraid... We're not really the picture-taking bunch of people.
Maybe some will surface later on on facebook.

Considering going to this easter weekend's second party. Bunch of friends dj'ing at The Light Bar on Shoreditch Highstreet.
On until midnight tonight, details here.
