From last night at Annroy Gallery where Rankin & Damien Hirst had their opening night of their collaboration show Myths. Gorgeous art! Both artists are geniouses.
I went to Lazarides’ latest show The Minotaur at the Old Vic Tunnels last Friday and as I expected I was totally blown away! It’s the best gallery space with the best host, it can only be good. With the theme “Minotaurs”, different graffiti and street artists have created installations, videos, paintings and sculptures all around the tunnels and it’s a maze of amazement…
Only negative thing about the night was the michelin restaurant which a section of the tunnels had been pardoned off for – the mix of high society people and graffiti culture doesn’t mix very well. But if you can ignore those champagne sipping peeps in suits and diamonds, then it’s certainly a great night out!
Show’s open until the 25th of October so don’t miss out!
12h spent at the Occupy London Stock Exchange yesterday outside St Paul's Cathedral. Beautiful day sitting on the church steps in the sun, watching the masses and listening to different speakers, amongst them Julian Assange.
It was all very peaceful with very little action. Kind of disappointing if you ask me, especially after reading about the riots in Rome. There was only 1 bigger "incident" which happened when the police decided to take over the top of the church steps and used force to get people to move and pushing them down the stairs. Very unnecessary.
About 3000 people came out in London, with about 500 staying in tents over night.
There’s not much space left for people to dream, you know, which is why you have to cut your own world and do your own thing. You have to find a way to commercially survive. But whatever you have to do don’t compromise yourself and you’ll be able to have some kind of freedom somewhere. -Mode2
