Vicious Skylicious

This girl seems absolutely wicked - Sky Farrell aka Vicious Skylicious.
She does some really nice work too; check the gallery.

Heard Massive Attack's new album yet - Heligoland?
This track is really quite amazing...

Jaybo @ Stolenspace

Hey - don't miss Jaybo's exhibition by the way at Stolenspace in Brick Lane!
Looks excellent....

On until Sunday this week.

Cody Hudson - Struggle Inc

I'm in love with this dude!

But unfortunately I've never met him.....

It's nice, for me, to see that all artists are not fine artists and all of them does not come from a fancy art background.
I love that kind of art the best - the 'uneducated' art - it feels less studied and more real and raw.

Hunt Slonem

These pictures are from Hunt Slonem's studio in New York.
Not that into his art but I surely enjoyed the post by Selby!

The closing down sale in Putney's London Graphic Centre continues....
I went there today and picked up their last 2 Montana's as well as plenty of inks, markerpens and acrylics - all for 20 quid instead of 85!!

That's right - the sale has now gone down from 50% to 75% off!
Although there is not much left now, except for tiny acrylics, pens, fabric paints and paper.

(Sale is on until March the 31st.)

Eurocultured - Manchester 2010

So I'm a massive fan of Herakut and I learned they are painting at this years Eurocultured event in Manchester!

Over 2 days (30-31st) there is going to be live painting, DJ's, performers and whatever else.
To be honest I didn't really see anything else that would be worth going to Manchester for..... but I would hate to miss seeing Herakut!

There is also going to be live painting by Arys and Toast One to name a few more.

Overkill

I found these sneakers on some site somewhere and thought 'perfect! - They got a deer on them and everything!', then only to realise they are no longer in stock....

I did however browse through the website and found this tee from Obey The Giant.
And this one is in stock and only €15!

They also stock pleeeenty other nice sneakers, for example these from Supra, Nike and Creative Recreation:

The website is Overkill.
It's a German based company and they also sell various graffiti supplies like Montana's etc...
Also check the BLOG.

Animal spirits

Two beautiful works by Zilda and Laguna/Ever.

Laguna/Ever - painted in Almagro, Spain

Zilda - painted in Rennes, France

I've been searching for my animal spirit lately but don't know how to find him... It might be the deer, it's the animal I've been feeling the most connected to, but I'm still not quite sure.

Do you know yours?

They are meant to choose you, you don't choose one. Sometimes they come and go into your life. Sometimes they are very brief just to give you a little sign.
But there is one which stays by your side always, your Life Animal Guide, and that's the one I feel I want to get to know...

Let's move to Paris baby!

We've had so many sunny, warm days now I'm starting to doubt this is England!

Love waking up with the sun beams reflected through my crystal...

Been doing my share bit of spring cleaning; today the closets.
But closet-cleaning in England is not so much about getting rid of the old, but more about getting rid of the mould.....

Another good song I found today on my iTunes - Paris by Friendly Fires.
And if you like this one, check the remix out too by Aeroplane! It may be one of those instances when the remix is better than the original.

Baby can we move to Paris..........?

No parking

Yea..... I wouldn't park here...
Your car will either be shat on, cut in two, or crushed by falling objects.

Seen in Brick Lane.

East End street art - March pt.2

So here are the rest of the pictures I took last week in the East End.
As they will be gone any day, they need documenting...

I've been looking for street art around my area in the West but can't find any...
There is only the odd little scrabble here and there; toyish tags. Although they get painted over very quickly.
Are there no artists here??

I'm gonna have to go out and do something about it... Anybody in for a midnight stroll?

Grafter

This was uploaded today by Grafter.

I'm kinda in love.....

Studio 3.15.10

New works in...

This picture is taken of the cardboard on which I do my paintings. I think it makes rather beautiful patterns when I empty my cans at the end of a session....

City of LEGO

So this is quite funny, right?
This guy who came up with the brilliant idea of filling the gaps in the city with LEGO!

This is what street art should be all about - to brighten up the otherwise so colourless city!
To make someone smile for even just a second... And start seeing and appreciating our surroundings.

Check the website for more.
And if you're into Lego in general, and graff, check this flickr site too for some more Lego stylin'!
