Adam Neate @ Elms Lesters Painting Rooms

Stumbled across Elms Lesters Painting Rooms today off Denmark Street and they're currently showing Adam Neate.
Had to ring the bell as the door was locked but Adam's interesting 3D+4D work inside this beautiful, old gallery was definately worth the hassle!

The gallery was built 1905 and is in itself a cool thing to see if Neate is not to your taste.

Have moved from France to Sweden. Just as sunny, although not as warm.

Mindful @ The Old Vic Tunnels

Went to Mindful at the Old Vic tunnels tonight.
It was really good. Anything they do down in those tunnels is amazing... I love how the place is so dark, water is dripping from the walls, and it smells of mould and stuffyness. I also love how the lighting of the artwork is done, it makes looking at art a completely different story.

Unfortunately only open for one night.

Good week ahead

Tonight exhibition in a Tunnel.
Tomorrow I fly to south of France.
On Wednesday I go on to Sweden.

Troy Davis

Tonight America is "legally" killing yet another person. In an hours time they are executing Troy Davis for a murder he may, or may not, have committed.
He has been on death row for 2 decades and during this time the evidence has turned out not to be evidence, and the witnesses has withdrawn their statements. Still, he is being killed today, ordered by the justice system.

To kill a person for killing a person is a strange thing.

A one off opportunity to catch a late viewing of the exhibition MINDFUL after hours where exhibiting artists will roam The Old Vic Tunnels to talk about their works. Grab a drink in the surreal surroundings of the Bathtub Bar (named so for a reason…) and witness Oliver Cronk's stunning immersive live art performance the 'Feline Inquisition' - a litter of cats venting their curiosity on unsuspecting gallery roamers.
