Banksy vs Robbo

This is the story on how an art war started!
Graffiti vs Street
This wall was painted all the way back in 1985 and still looked pretty much the same today.

Banksy did the brave thing to go over it....

A classy response by Robbo!

What happened next is crazy.... No idea who took out the wall.

Hirst.....?

The whole story is insane but I love it!!
In my opinion, anything an artist (graffiti- and street artists alike) put on the wall is for everybody to do whatever they want with. It no longer belongs to the artist.
All artists should be used to this and expect things like these to happen sooner or later.

Read the Sun's story, see how the graff people reacted, and how the news spread around the world.

Back home from home

Back home in England from Sweden. Goood holiday with plenty snow, family and relaxation...
Battled the snow and took advantage of the police-free town my last night to do a couple more walls:

You can also see them here.

The artist from Rio

On Yvan's site I found these pictures from Rio de Janeiro. I have not heard of this artist previously so am trying to make out his name.....
Manno.... Marro....?
Either way - I like them very much.

Outside the house right now:

Another first!

First illegal piece.

This was fun to make! Was a bit drunk though so the one I did to the right of this has got the word 'inspired' misspelt......
Had one of my young bro's with me and now they're all asking when we're heading out for more... Don't think mom is so happy about that!

Weird & Wonderful

Even though I feel that big jewellery is very intriguing, I also feel it is very impractical....
However, I would suffer to wear these pieces!

Beautiful creations from Maria Nilsdotter.

Lakshmi Menon

So nice to see an Indian fashion model for once.

From the bag-book

Scetching is all I can do right now with no access to paints.
Would be paradise to paint here in my hometown as there is no police!

Santa Land

Here I am in Santa land and it's freezing and snowy!

Vanilla

I'm off to Sweden tonight! They say it's minus 15 degrees and snow! wow....
Just hoping that the travelling will go ok.... Britain likes to freak out and shut down everything when they see some snowflakes.

Worked my last day today. Kinda sad to leave.. I hate those sentimental feelings. It's a strange part of us humans.
Got a brilliant goodbye-present from everyone at work though - spray cans!! Hard to find golden colleagues like that anywhere else!

The sea is made out of drops

This beautiful bird may go extinct if we keep trashing the planet as we do.
We should all get encouraged to make a change in our life in a last attempt to make a difference.
It does not have to be a big change, all we need to remember is that 'there are many drops in the sea'.

C215(.2)

Another beautiful one, posted yesterday on C215's flickr.

"This prints series is a tribute to Roney, a little kid who was killed in one of Sao Paulo's favelas by the local mafia.
10% of the proceeds will be given to CARF, a foundation helping kids to get out of the streets."

Midnight graff

On Friday we had our office christmas party on a boat on the Thames.
It was pretty fun but the highlight of the night was when we stumbled across the designated graffiti tunnel on our way back home!
Had so much fun for a good hour or so.....
Not as exciting as painting illegally perhaps, but if you wanna get your piece up nicely without having to worry about running from the cops, then head down and make your mark! ;)
Info on the tunnel is here.

Also found a brand new 30GB iPod on the street - sweet!

MuTATE Christmas show

Went down to Portobello tonight to see the new stuff and drink coffee in the smokey tunnels...
Pretty amazing.

Head down to Ladbroke Grove to see the updated MuTATE Britain.
Its last day is Dec. 22.
