hot tunes

Still listening to my dubs like a mad woman.

Discivered Beatport where they have pleeenty good electronic dance music. Just search 'dubstep' or go into the 'dubstep' category and there's lots of goodies!

Here are two favourites:
Calvin Harris Doorly remix
Temper Trap Doory remix

Lucas Ossendrijver

oooohhh....... Look at these lovely hi-tops....

It's from the Selby's visit to Lucas Ossendrijver.
He's a fashion designer at Lanvin for men.

The dancing kid

Got it working!! My laptop, after a week of being down.
Had to reinstall the entire system.

I had a revelation in Ealing on my way home after work today. Or.... half a revelation.

Lately I've been so very filosofical, thinking about things; the state of the world; why we're here (maybe we're the virus of this planet...?).

Then I saw this kid dancing on the street. I was looking at him, and then he saw me. He looked at me funny and I smiled to him.

Then the bus drove off and the smile which the boy had brought to my face made me realise that I've come to the point when you realise that life's not as easy as you thought when you were a kid. Life goes on, you get older, you get influenced (mostly in less good ways), and sooner or later you will have to just deal with it!

My problem has always been me not wanting to deal with it.

I still don't but at least now I know what my problem is.

brighten up the surroundings

So for two days I've been trying to get rid of my virus......... But to no luck.
I'm now on another computer as I lost internet connection to mine after running several antivirus programs.
I want to just give up. I will at least stop trying myself and instead bring it in to the IT department at work on Monday.

I realise it might not actually be viruses though, but 'spyware' and similar. These are created by advertisement companies to spy on our shopping habits. They get stuck on your computer and fucks things up apparently. That fucks me off BIG time!

On a much happier note - take a look at this guy, Zezao from Brazil! He suits this post because he often paints walls in the homeless 'homes' in the poorer areas of Sao Paolo to brighten up things a little!
I would love it if he can here tonight and painted my wall.....

I also found this website which I can't wait to explore more!

Affected

I got a freakin virus on my laptop!!
I'm SO angry!
Some fucker is enjoying making these things and that makes me sick!
Trying to sort it out now.... The only problem is - the virus is blocking my access to all antivirus sites!!!!
It's doing weird shit now..... I'm scared....

the Selby

If you aren't already aware......

Banksy

I bought Banksy's book this weekend (or actually I haven't worked out yet if he made it with his own words, or someone else) and I found it so fascinating and funny and just brilliant!

I liked his work even before but now even more.
I respect his work and his view of the world.
I want to see more people like him!

The story behind this was hillarious!

I love the fact that he paints on the wall dividing Israel and Palestine.

If you look at it this way...

I love the reasoning behind the choice of rats.

Should maybe try to make it down to Brighton in the weekend to see him exhibited at the Bristol Museum.

Actually, this year's show is called Sensation Wicked Wonderland!

Unfortunately they don't come to London, but happens every year in other big cities in Europe. The next one is in Poland and Erick E, Fedde le Grand, mr.White and Sebastian Ingrosso are in the lineup.

These pictures are taken from the last party held in Amsterdam and the theme was 'white':

Nott. Fest

Finally weekend............... And how hard I've worked to deserve this one!!

Notting Hill Carnival is happenin in 2 weeks and this is where I'm gonna be:

Cesare vs Disorder is playing, and so is my good friend Pablo.

All for freeeeee ;)

I like men

This week I've been good.
I don't know what I did to deserve it but I got a present from my X, and a much bigger gift from my boyfriend!

My X saw this book and thought of me:

The next day when I came home from work my boyfriend had a surprice for me in the garden; he had cleared out the entire outhouse for me to make space for my studio!!

So now I have a book for inspiration and a studio in which I can make it happen!

Men are nice :)

Men with style

Why can't more men dare to go a little wild with their clothes??
Why can't they dare to be a bit more fashionable?

Fashion is supposed to be fun and suit your persona.
So it doesn't give much of an impression when a guy's wearing only River Island...

Yummy !

work in progress....

So I worked the whole weekend. I sat in the garden and I'm teaching myself how to work the colours. Exciting as hell.

I'm not all too happy with what I made yet, but here's one...

"i just wanna love (fuck) you"

Now I'm working on my CV. The most boring thing ever. I try to keep myself motivated by thinking of all the cool job oportunities I can apply for, but it doesn't help me.

Found a great song.

surround yourself with colourful things

I want to learn how to make graffiti because I totally agree to the fact that we need to implement more colour to our otherwise so very grey city.

Don't you think?

Pictures taken from Roma.

MORE COLOUR TO THE PEOPLE! hah...

glorious morning

Perfect morning with coffee, laptop, music and cat outside in the sunny garden.
Boyfriend still sleeping so all alone.....

Gonna head down to Kensington soonish and buy some spray paint. I'm going to learn how to paint with cans today, yyey!

Caroline Gray

Went to party Saturday. James What played at The Paramount; music great, people superficial. So we left shortly after. Off to Tea Room (the new one). Another friend was playing; very good! Unfortunately place closed, so went to house. Then another house. Then Sunday-day-party but we buggered off home.... Slept all Sunday.

Met an American girl who turned out to be a great artist!
You can find here here at Saatchi - Caroline Gray.
She uses old snake skin on her paintings and wants to make a handbag out of human skin to make a statement! Super cool chick.

explosion - Enamel, Ink, Dried Lilly, Shedded Gaboon Viper skin

organic structre - enamel, ink, pen, watercolour on paper
